Lescure Chambolle Musigny 1990

$788.00

The terroir at Domaine Lescure is clay-limestone with a predominantly stony nature. The yield is about 30 to 35hl/hectare. Harvested manually, in 25kg boxes, the grapes are sorted, destemmed, not crushed and then vatted by gravity. The vinification is done in small volume truncated conical wooden vats (18 hectolitres), with indigenous yeasts. Vatting lasts 18 to 25 days.
The wines are aged on the lees for 16 to 18 months in a cold cellar. They use 50 to 100% new barrels on each cuvée and then rack a month before bottling- without filtration. Three bottles available with excellent fills and very sound corks. $788 per bottle.
